Mrs. Hilda Erdman has been a
patient at St. Charles hospital in
Bend. She Is home now but has to
star In bed moct of the time.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Freeman
and family spent the week-end In
Klamath Falls visiting Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence West and family.
Sandra Oumpert, Sally Petrono
vieh and Ray Lavonne Oumpert are
spending this week at Crescent lake
at the Camp Fire Girls' summer
camp.

and had an enjoyable visit together

sister. Mrs. Vivian Wilson, former
Chiloquin resident. The two women
will work at a cleaners' establish
ment there. Mrs. Davis, daughter of
Rev. and Mrs. Paul Johnson, left
her children here but will take
them to Yreka when she finds hous
ing. Mrs. Guy Staiger Is the latest on
the list of adults to get the mumps.
This epidemic is bound to end before
too long for the simple reason that
there la a minority of residents re
maining which hasn't already had
them.
Mrs. Shirley Lockwood and her
two-year-old son. Richard, arrived
in Chiloquin two weeks ago from
the middle west and will nuke their
home here. Mrs. Lockwood Is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lonnie
Adams and Is now employed at The I
Corner store.
Stopping briefly In Chiloquin one
day this week to visit with Mr. and
Mrs. Jesse Mangum were Rev. and
Mrs. R. D. Brokenshire and two '
children of Carlsbad, Calif. !

the Eugene School of Beauty Cul
ture and plana to work In the beau
ty shop which she haa owned for
some time. Mra. Carter, sister of
Mrs. Ivan Doak la a former local

Payette. Ida., were guests of Mr.
and Mra. Gerry Wolff this week.
Mrs. Bartshe, who has apent the
summer with her daughter in Red
ding, left on Friday morning for
her Idaho home.

Dr. L. S. Cressraan and Dr.
Theodore Stern, anthropology pro
fessors from the University of Ore
gon, left on Thursday morning
after completing eight weeks ol
summer school work In this vicinity.
Cressman had lg students under
his direction and Stern headed a
small research group of three stu
dents. Many local people were seen at
the Klamath Falls armory on Wed
nesday evening when Woody Her
man and his orchestra and the King
Cole trio were the entertainers.
