KLAMATH PALLS, Ora, (To tha
Editor) I Just got through read
ing your article on the grasshopper
situation In Klamath Palls and tha
experience of Mr. Pred H. Stem
ler of 1207 California avenue with
them.
I totally agree with him and no
mora true words were aver apoken
than appeared In that atory.
Tha grasshopper problem la some
thing that ona can't fight alone.
Everywhere you go you scare up a
horde and tha worst of It la that
they are about to lay their egga fur
next year a crop.
I bought $4 worth of powder and
poisoned my garden good, trying to
keep them from laying their eggs
thera ana from eating tha ren
table latter running up a Cupco
water bill of $20 ot ao trying to
hava a garden and though I did
kill a few thera are rhousanda mora.
It is a Job for tha city or county
to handle.
Burning the weeda would help a
lot, but getting tha fire department
of tha city to do anything for you
la like pulling teeth. They Just can't
be bothered.

They are always talking about do
ing something, but never accom
plish It. Where la that swimming
pool they were going to juild. that
museum? They were going to hava
parks that they were laying land
aside for. the rest renms that a
city of this sire should hsve and
all the rest that cities a lot smaller
than Klamath Palis enjoy.
