Western Oregon timber manage
ment, died here yesterday.
He had organised both Lincoln
and Polk county fire patrols, served
aa a director of both, and from 1038
until lo.'is waa director of publicity
of the atate board of forestry.
He had served two terms In the
legislature, being elected In 1017
and 1925 aa Polk Benton county
representative.
A native of Lea, Minn., he had
moved to Lincoln county. Ore, In
1901 and operated pharmacy here
after 1909,
The widow and one daughter, Mrs.
Oscar Hayter, Dallaa, and three
grandchildren survive.
