Art Classes Interesting
On a vlilt up to the OTT art institute the other day, aeveral
Klamath people were noted. Brltu Lion waa taking tun out at
the coke bar between claaae. Britta and her mother returned
recently iron Cartnel. Ban Pranclaco and Lakt Tahoe. Tht two
week trip came to an end to that Britta could bt back lor the
beginning of tht art claa.se.
Cant think of a more enjoyable way to receive six college
credit than that art course. Up on the old Marine Barrack rifle
range Wednesday, the water color sketch elasa was busy painting
Ttews of the landscape. Among; the artist aeen sitting In the run
were Mrs. Sheldon Brumbaugh and Mrs. B. B. Blomqultt.

The girls spent all last Sunday in and out of the water, and when swimming
was too great an exertion the little rubber boat provided a lazy girl's float.
Chorlotte and her mother ore up from Dmubo, Calif., for an entire summer
at the lake.
About fifty hoat and hostesses gathered at a party 8unday in
honor of Mr. Carrie Browne and Dean MltcheL The two were
feted with a pre-nuptlal party. Engineer of the affair were Mrs.
Byron Hardtnbrook and Mra. R. H. Tiadale.
Mix, Browne's stster Mr. Martha Orooley. was here for the
party during her visit. Mrs. Orooley it from Portland.
Back for a vtilt with her mother. Mrs. H. E. Hanger, la Mra.
William J. Borcher and her daughter, Sandra. The Borchera are
now living In Coo Bay where Bill 1 a coach. Kay and Sandra
plan to spend two more weeks with the Hanger.

of Merrill, exchanged vowa in a simple' wedding
ceremony Sunday afternoon, July 31, at the Trounan
residence.
The double ring ceremony was performed by
Reverend Hugh . Branson of Tulelake before an
Improvised alur, which was lighted with tall white
taper, and banked with bouquet of white gladioli
and rose.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was
lovely in a white eyelet-embroidered dress over
pink taffeta, with a pink sash and a picture hat,
also In pink. Her bouquet was of Inlman roses.
The bride's only attendant was her sister Nancy,
who wore a blue nylon dress, and carried American
beauty roses. Mrs. Harman C. Salrr. long-time
friend of tht Trotmans aang "Because' and "I Love
You Truly."
Mrs. Oersten wore a frock ot blue crepe for her
daughter's wedding, and the bridegroom's moUier,
Mrs. Trotman, wore blue also. Both had corsages
of pink rosebuds. Ronald Trotman was his brother's
best man.
Following the ceremony a reception was held on
the lawn, with the newly-weds cutting Uie first
slice of their three-tiered wedding cake. Mrs. Cliff
8huck, Mrs. Sater, and Dolores Steele presided at
the punch bowl. Nancy Oersten passed the guest
book, and accordion selections were presented by
Ronald Trotman.
For a honeymoon to Banff and Lake Louise in
Canada, the new Mrs. Trotman wore a navy blue
auit with pink accessories. On their return the
young couple will be at home In Merrill.
In addition to the bride's parents and staler. Mr.
and Mrs. Oersten and Nancy, out-of-town guests
were Mrs. Ruth Carson of Portland, an aunt of the
bride, and Mrs. Harman Sater ot Seattle.
The young people met at Oregon State college
where both were studying pharmacy. Robert was
graduated in June, and Joan will return to Uie
university this fall to complete her final year.
Dessert-Bridge Affair
Mrs. J. L. Dean and her daughter, Mrs. George
Cornell, were hostesses yesterday to a dessert-bridge
luncheon which was held at the Dean home.

Members of Aloha club of Past Matron's of the
Eastern Star met Wednesday afternoon on the back

ning by Mrs. John Sterner, her grandmother, and
Mrs. Bert Miller at the Sterner home.
Prizes for the games played during Uie evening
went to Mrs. Elizabeth Long, mother of Uie groom,
Valery Sauerberg. Mrs. Lane Warren and Lois Cada.
Patsy Ruth Miller played Uie accordion during Uie
evening for a musical game.
Attending the affair were Mrs. Marvin Lucas,
Mrs. L. S. Tyrell, Mrs. Lane Warren, and Nancy,

Activities To Resume
The Library club will resume Its activities in Sep
tember. The program committee of Uie organisation
has been meeting this summer making plans for
the fall.
Any woman of this area may Join for Uie year
and attend Uie monthly meetings held on Uie second
Monday ot each month at 2 p. m. at tht city
library.
Some of the highlights of last year's programs
were the address by Theodore Kratt, dean of Uie
University of Oregon school ot music. Uie South
American program featuring color slides, and tht
annual Children's Benefit Tea with Its Mardl Ores

Another summer visitor In Klamath Fall Is Rosalie Hssxard.
granddaughter of Mr. and Mra. E. O. Potter. Rosalie has been
visiting for some time and will return for another visit after a trip
to Portland with her aunt and cousin. Mrs. Elbert Stiles and Steve.
Rosalie has been having a round of parties during her vudt
here. She has spent several week-ends at Uie Lake o' Uie Woods
with young friends, had numerous theater parties, and attended a
variety of other gathering.
The EUlngson families In Klamath have all been playing boat
and hostess recently. Mr. and Mrs. Rcbert Ellington had as their
guest recently Mrs. Ellingaon s grandmother, Mrs. Mollle Chamlee.
Mrs. Chamlee. who will be eighty on her next birthday, left a fear
days ago after a three-week visit for Salem. From Salem she
will fly home to Los Angeles.
The R. P. Ellingsons have as their guests Mrs. E. O. EUlngson,
Mrs. Ellingson's sister, and two children Roberta and David from
Lady Smith, Wis, and Miss Luella Ellingson. Mr. Ellingsons sister,
from Sheboygan. Wis, where she teaches high school.
Gets rather confusing after while but Uie final outcome of
the relationship above is that the two Mrs. Ellingsons are sisters
as well as sisters-in-law.
Sig Ellingson was down for a few days too. Sig and his wife
are living in Unity, Ore, where one of Uie mills Is located.
The Don Ellingsons have been entertaining too. Their guesU
were Mr. and Mrs. Clinton F. Chllds of Hawaii. The Ellingsons
took their guests to Uie lake for a few days. The Chllds left
Monday for other Oregon spots.
Friends of Uie L. K. Johnsons are happy to know that they are
In town for a short visit. Mr Johnson was formerly pastor of Uie
Klamath Lutheran church here.
The Johnsons are staying with Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Murdock.
They left for a few days at the Lake o" Uie Woods during the
middle of the week, but they have returned so that Rev. Johnson
may be guest speaker at church tomorrow.
Rev. Johnson Is pastor of the Lutheran church In La Jolla.
Calif, now.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Odell returned Tuesday from Portland
wherw they have been for several weeks. While there Uie two
met several other Klamathites, among them were John Houston, and
Mrs. Oeorge Uhich, who was visiting her son, Roland, there.
The Odells were visiting with Dr. and Mrs. R. R. Hamilton
while they were In Portland.
Lots ot Klamath people have been traveling Uie 8hasta Daylight
since Its maiden run July 10 Mrs. W. D. Miller and daughter,
Marilyn, returned Monday on Uie Daylight from San Francisco
where they spent Uie week-end visiting Don (Dee) Miller, who is a
summer school student at Stanford. Don Is a sophomore at the
University of Oregon..
Mrs. Pat Moses Is visiting this summer with her mother and
father-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Oeorge Motes. Pat Is still In Eugene
where he Is attending the University of Oregon.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Oralapp are on their vacation from
Klamath Union high school now. They are spending a week on
the Oregon coast near Walport
Mr. Oralapp Is extremely busy n his duties as superintendent
of schools where the summer months are Just as busy as winter,
and he finds it difficult to even find the time for a vacation. .
Week-end guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John C. Clrghorn
were their daughter, Elizabeth Cleghorn and three friend, all
nurses at Bames Veteran's hospital, Vancouver, Washington. The
visitors are on Uie last lap of a two-week vacation trip to Glacier
and Yellowstone national parks. They eame to Klamath Falls
Saturday evening, spent Sunday at Crater lake, and left tor
Vancouver Monday moming.
Another visitor at the Cleghorn home Is their grandson, Billy
Jans, Portland, who came down by plane to spend several week
with bit grandparent. Ha will be Joined by his family next week.
