board hearing yesterday that an en
gine of a C-46 tramport waa back
firing befor It took off and crashed
onto th roof of South Seattle
home.

an engine backfiring before the

functioning of the ignition aystem
probably caused the backfiring."

New Presbyterian Church
Planned By Merrill Men
MERRILL. Aug. 1 If all goea
veil work will be started early this
fall on a new Presbyterian church
to replace th old fram structure
which wss destroyed by fir hurt
January.
Plans for th church were ap
proved by th local congregation
and will be sent to ths board of
national mission In New York for
their approval.

pleted, will house a social hall,
kitchen, rooms for Sunday school
