Brown, master mechanic of the
Shasta division of the Southern Pa
cific railroad, ha been promoted
to master mechanic of the Portland
division. Re took over his new posi
tion August 1. with headquarters In
Portland.
H. P. Ankerson of Sparks, Kev.
has arrived in Dunsmuir to take
Brown's place.
Brown, who Is the son of B. M.
Brown of San Francisco, general
superintendent of the motive power
department of Southern Pacific, his
wife and son came to Dunsmuir two
year and nine months ago. They
came from Sacramento. His little
daughter was born here.
A farewell dinner was given by
the Dunsmuir 8. P. shop foremen's
organization at Bran's restaurant
last Wednesday, and Brown was
presented a gift of fountain pen
desk set.
