As usual, at this season of the
year, on Saturday evening I had
done the family laundry and left
It on the hue overnight until
the following momtng. when on
going out to gather It In. I dis
covered that several articles of
feminine attire were gone. In

more intimate garments. I hunt

maybe the wind had blown the
clothes down. but. no, thev were
not there, and the clothespms
all being left nicely In place
where the clothes had hung,
plainly Indicated skullduggery.
Now who did It. Is the pui

great stealth and cunning in
approaching the clothesline In

a few and leave the rest? Of
course. It was Saturday night,

anything could have happened.
Apparently for some reason, a
gal In a predicament must have
needed a new wardrobe, spied
the wash hanging out. went along
the clothesline and helped her
self to what she needed.
This occurrence Is "one for the
book" In Port K'anialh. where
we trusting souls customarily go
away and leave our doors un
locked, even at times leaving
cars full of gas parked outside
overnight. Of course, there have
been Instances of gas theft and
petty thievery of several kinds,
but this Is the first time a
clothesline has been raided and
It will probably alaaya be a
deep, dark mystery. Here's hop

the gal's problem, whatever It
was. and also here's hoping
there are no more return vlalta
of the same kind.
