FIRST TRAIN This Southern Pocific passenger train start
ed its operations between Klamath Foils and Weed, Calif.,
ir 1906. This was the year the railroad line was extended to
Klamath Falls. This train, photographed in the vicinity of
the present location of the viaduct, is the westbound 39. The
train consisted of on engine, boggoge car, two coaches and
OiPullman sleeper cor. The warehouse shown in the back
ground is believed to be the first built on the SP tracks in
tr)is city and was owned by Roberts and Harvey hardware
dealers.
