(or local girls held at Moore park
ended on Friday, and registrations
are atll! open (or the last two ses
sions. Trie camp Is sponsored by
the Olrl Scouts, the Camp Fire
Girls and the city recreation de
partment and Is open to all t'Jls
from 7 to 14 (or a small (ee.
Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fri
days from t a. m. to 1 p. m. are the
camping days, and transportation
to and from the park la provided.
The next session Is (or nine days be
ginning July 13 and ending July 29.
Mrs. Keith Cobo is director of the
camp and has had extensive train
ing In all phases o( outdoor activi
ties. She stresses that the camp
site Is a completely private one and
Li not open to the general public. It
Is In a beautiful, secluded corner of
the park which lias been sprayed
(or mosquitoes by the park care
taker. Bert Stott. who says the
mosquito population should be no
ticeably reduced (or the next six
weeks.
In addition to camp lore, hikes,
outdoor cookery, games and songs
which are learned, girls In each ses
sion have the opportunity of camp
ing overnight If they wish. The
girls attending are divided Into sev
eral units with adequate supervision
(or each, and the units plan their
own activities.
