east, to the Pacific and over the
Ireat circle to the Orient.

port, which will serve four different
airlines. Is considered by engineers
to be one of the most modern of

space to meet all possible needs of
air travelers.

The terminal la owned and oper
ated, by the Port of Sesttle, the
Bow lake site was purchased with
, 1660.000 from the Seattle port plus
1100.000 (rant from the port of
Tacoma.

world airways. Northwest airlines.
United airlines and Western air

The (30 acres of land Is located
on high ground, some 400 feel above
Puget sound, and the low lying Kent
valley to the east, out of the smoke
and haw of the Industrial section
of Seattle.
The longest of the four runways
Is now 6100 feet, which may be ex
tended to 7500 feet.
Army, navy, marine and north
west national air guard planes will
drone a dedlcattonal salute In an
air show Saturday beginning at 1 30.
Commercial craft will be open for
Inspection on the field.
The Inaugural address will be giv
en by Gov. Arthur B. Langlle. with
state and civil officials participating
In the ceremony.

day to make Sagamore. 111. the
home of the late President Theo
dore Roosevelt, a shrine.
The Roosevelt Memorial associa
tion of New York disclosed It had
made arrangements to acquire the
three-story frame structure and
20 of Its 83 acres of rolling land
from the heirs of the late presi
dent. Mrs. Roosevelt. 87-year-old w idow
of the former president, died last
September. Since then. Sagamore
Hill has been unoccupied except
for caretakers.
The house was used as a sum
mer White House by President
Roosevelt.
