GRAIN FUTURES FIRM TODAY
CHICAGO. July S "v Grain futures were firm to strong In today's
board of trad session. Wheat advanced on null buying which oflset
hedging pressure. Observers said uie volume oi iraaing was neavy.
Oats responded to reports of some damage from heat. Corn lugged
but followed other gains, working against a handicap of excellent grow
ing weather, and large reserves on farms.
Wheat bookings on a to-arriv basis were placed at 170.000 bushels,
torn at 35.000 bushels and oats at 45000 bushels.
At the finish wheat was IS to IS higher than Saturday's close.
