Revised Due To Crowds
Neceaaary revision In the swimming instruction schedule at the
Oregon Technical inatltuus pool have been announced by the city
recreation office. !
Changes were msde necessary by th unexpectedly large number 1
of children who turned out for swimming lesson. 1
Regular hours fur public swimming are from 1 to 10 p. m., aeven
days a week. Instruction and open swimming can be accommodated
at the same time In the big pool because of It size.
City Recreation Director Sam Smith announced today that all
recreation activities except open swimming will be closed at noon.
Saturday, and reopen Tuesday, July ft. The OTI pool, however, will
be open for public swimming the regular hours. There will be no swim
ming Instruction. ;

Police Judge Leigh Ackerman has
been asked by Eugene Police Chief
Keith L. Jones to serve on the gov
ernor's stftte committee on children
and youth, on which Jones serves as
ihstrman.
The committee was set up to study
Juvenile problems and methods of
l-siidllng delinquent by the pollcg

the automobile accident death of
