Roman Catholic priest, was arrested
last night after 1 policemen raided
his church to halt a bingo game.
Th priest, pastor of St. Bridget's
church In suburban Love's Park, was
charged with being a keeper of a
gambling establishment. He was re
leased on his recognisance after ap
pearand before a jus tic of th
peace.
Folic Chief Roy York of Love's
Park led th raid and said several
place of gambling equipment wer
seised tn th church's basement. He
said Andrew Possi and two other
unidentified men wer arrested on a
a charge of operating a gambling
establishment They wer released
oo bonds of 1130 each after appear
ing before a fustic of th peace.
