Tour Area
A tentative schedule of a tour of
Oregon by metropolitan newspaper
travel editors has been drawn up by
Chamber Manager Charles Stark.
Oregon vice president of the Pacific
Northwest Travel association. The
t-iur will begin July 27.
According to Htark. the group of
a dosen or so editors will be divided
Into two groups at Portland, one
party taking the coast route and
Lark north through the Willamette
valley, and the other taking the
central route, arriving In Klamath
Kails July 28. and then back Into

This tour will be similar to the
one held her last year.

for 67 dleaal locomotives of various
types, at a cost of more than 123.-
000.000, In furtherance of BP ex
tensive Improvement program.
In making the announcement.
President A. T. Mercler aald the new
orders will raise to approximately
1241.000.000 the company's poatwar
expenditures for new rolling stock,
nearly BO.OOO,000 being for 263 die.iel
locomotives.
Deliveries of th newly-oraered
dlasel locomotive are scheduled to
