through a three-story apartment
building on the southwest side.
An undetermined number of per
sons fled from the building located
at 2014 South California Ave.
Fire Marshal Antnony Mullaiiey

cuers were able lo save only one of
seven persons trapped on the sec
ond and third floors.
Earlier seven persons were in
jured in another fire which dam
aged a three-storv apartment build
ing at. 21 10 Kendall street, about a
mile south of the California avenue

building; Mrs. Lyle Wilkin and her
