Suburban Fire District Ready
To Go Vith All New Equipment

gas furnaces.
Someone will be on duty 14 hours
a day and (ifty volunteers, living or
working within a radius of one mile
of the station have been enrolled.

This group plans purchase of a re
suscitator at a cost of $500 which
will be left at the station and may
be used by anyone in an emergency.

Dance Slated 1
A dance is being sponsored Satur
day night, June 19. in the armory
to raise (unds (or purchase of this
equipment.
M. G. Gordon, hired by the board
of directors of the district, received
his (ire fighting training while in
the navy. He served one year with ;
the department which operated at
the airport here.
His assistant, Harold Briscoe. Is a 1
student mornings at the OVS. He
will be on duty afternoons and
evenings. He also is an ex-service
man.
White was chosen as the color (or !
the trucks since it shows up well at j

Mrs. Ed Gralian of Langell val
ley, in placing the order, said that
the women in the club donated fresh j
eggs, which were auctioned off to
raise the money. The order was di
vided into (lve packages of baby j
food and five of general food (or a !
child under 10 years old, each type
costing $10 the standard price of
any CARE package.
The baby food CARE package Is i
for babies over six months old and '
contains whole milk powder. Infant i
cereal food, ascorbic acid tablets, i
vitamin A and D. concentrates, I
granulated sugar, 30 cans of strained
baby food, soap, can opener, table
spoon, teaspoon and measuring
spoon.

Output Falls Off

power output by about 30 per cent,

Marlett, assistant Bonneville ad
ministrator, said no power shortage
would result as steam plant would
increase their output.
He said normally there Is a 55
to 60-foot fall but that now has been
reduced to about 40 feet.

and both trucks can draft from any

gallons of water per minute and the

cals, can be used on any type of
(ire.
