FRANK F. STEELE
for Sheriff
In offering mvarlf aa a
Candidate on the Dcmocrallo
Ticket for Sheriff of Klam
ath County, I feel that yon
should know something ot
me and my background.
I am Forly-sii years of age
and am In the very prime of
my life. I have been a real
dent of Klamath County for
Fourteen year: am married,
have five children, three of
whom are In Klamath t'nlnn
high school, and I own my
own home.
During all of my residence
In Klamath County I have
been employed as a Locomo
tive Engineer by the Weyer
haeuser Timber Company,
and for some Klght years
have been the General Chair
man of the nrnthrrhond of
Firemen and Knglne Men,
local Klamnlh Falls llranrh.
I am a member of the Executive Committee of the Suburban
League and am Chairman of the Wlard Memorial Park Board;
I am also a member of the Shasta View Orange.
Willi my experience and background I feel that I will lie
competent to handle the great Ministerial Work Incident to the
Sheriff's Office and duties. Mnny people do not realise the
magnitude of the work Incident to a Sherlff'a duties and see only
the duties Incident to the apprehension of criminal.
The Sheriff's Office Is responsible for the Tag Collections for
both the Slate and County In Klamath County and aa such '
employs a large office force. It will be my sincere endeavor to
do this as efficiently aa possible and to keep harmony In the
ufflce.
Your Sheriff Is also responsible for the service of all paper in
Civil matters brought In the Circuit Court of this County, and If
elected I will see to II that this Is done promptly and efficiently.
The Sheriff Is also responsible for the eare and treatment of
all prisoners. The mere fact that a man Is In Jail does not mean
at all thai he Is a criminal, as a large proportion are In there
availing trial, and all people are proumcd to be Innocent until
proven guilty, and I will always bear this In mind and see that
the prlsnnrrs have as good treatment as will he In my power
to give them.
I will welcome any Inquiries which you may desire to make
aa to my mode and habits of life, and my training and ability ts
handle this most Important position, and If you feel that I am
competent and desirable for the position I will gladly welcome
your support. '
