Klamath Girls Are
Active At SOC
Two Klumalh girls are active In 'the plana now being completed
lor the second annual Mother's Week-end at Southern Oregon college
on May 8 and V.
Klamath girls chosen to head committees are Dorothy Howry,
dauifhlnr of Mr. and Mrs. C. W, Howry of 101 East Main, who has
charge of ushering, and Caryl Vanderwall, daughter of Mrs. Fae V.
Wilson. 707 Washington, who will handle publicity. Both girls graduated
from Klamath Union high school In 1046 and are now sophomores
In teacher education at HOC.
Miss Vanderwall, member of Sig
ma Kpallun PI, scholastic honorary,
has been very active In college ac
tivities during her two years at HOC
She holds the position of exchange
editor on the Siskiyou, college pa
per, this year, und Is an active mem
ber of college annual staff. She Is
also a member of IT A. Kedetta Chi,
and was genera chairman of the
Associated Women Students' carni
val which was held In January to
raise funds for world student relief.
Miss Vanderwall was one of the SOC
students selected to represent the
school In the National Who's Who
In American Colleges and Universi
ties. Under the supervision of the pa
per's co-editors, Allen Reed and Bob
Stumbo, and Miss Vanderwall, a
special edition of the paper contain
ing complete nrogrnms of the dav
activities, and stories and pictures
pertaining to the days activities,
will be Issued.
Miss Howry, president of Redetta
Chi, has the )ob of providing ushers
for the week-end's activities. Ml.s

Mrs. Dexter played the traditional wedding marches and Beverlle
Kalle sang as guesta assembled.
The bride wore an embroidered nylon over satin gown. Her fingertip
veil fell from a seedpearl princess
crown. Her bouquet was a cascsoe
arrangement of pink rosebuds and
whit carnations.
