to the field gymnasium.
The college is purchasing teveu
acres surrounding the present four
acre Fuller field, aud is purchasing
the Austin, Strickland and Murphy
properties adjacent to the campus.
It is hoped. that the demonstration
training school will go into this area,
meanwhile the Austin house will be
used temporarily as a music conservatory.

Klamath Falls is a strongly pre
ferred contender for location of the ;
1949 National Field trials, according
to Hal Shidler, president of the ',
Shasta Ca-scade Retriever club, and !
if the local club will go on record i
as favoring the national meet here
the arrangements may be made.
The 1947 nationals were held in
Herron, 111., and the 1948 meet will
be held in November at a location
not yet announoati.
Several Pacitc Coast dog owners,
impressed by two recent meets held
In the Klamath Falls vicinity, are
hopeful that a national event can be
brought here in view of the growing I
interest in sporting dogs in this I
area and the natural facilities for j
such a meet.
