Carriers were under selling pres
sure at times because of a threat
ened strike next Tuesday, and were

The annual Junior chamber of
commerce bout regatta Is scheduled
for mid-June on Upper Kliunath
lake, opening with a boat show on
June 11, and climaxing with boat
races June 13.
This will be the second post-war
regatta sponsored by the Juyoecs.
Officiating of races will be hnmllcd
by the Oregon Outboard asMH'tutton.
Entrants are now being lined up
for the races, and at least lour
states are expected to be repre
sented. Several of last year's en
trants will also return.
Last year, prise money for four
races was given to Bill Plue, Port
land: Don Crltlser. Oregon City;
Tim Reeves. Chico, and Hurry Eyer

of the prise money from one
