Malin Residence
Mr. and Mrs. Tony Steyskal opened their recently completed home
four miles south of Malm on the old Alturas highway last Sunday
afternoon from 1 to 6 o'clock.
Home 300 friends of the couple from over the basin area called
at their home and to enjoy the 0n house, and the smorgasbord
served In the dining room.

Smith who la the mother of Don
Smith, husband of the former Mary
Thomas. They are now living In
Kabul, Afghanistan.
Mrs. Roland Wright presided at

hour. The tea table was decked
with lovely red tulip which Mrs.
Smith brought from Portland.

recently In Portland with Dr. and
Mrs. E. D. Johnson, formerly of this

majored In physical education. The
groom-to-be Is a graduate of Oregon
State college where he majored In
logging engineering. He served aa a
captain In the army, corps of engi
neers, for four years during World
War 2.

was given laat Saturday afternoon
from 3 to 5 o'clock when Mm. Don
West and Mrs. Dale Welt enter
tained at the home of the latter In
Merrill In honor of Mrs. Gerald
West who has moved from Malln to
reside In Merrill.
The tea table was centered with
a sliver bowl holding red epithyllum
cactua. Mrs. Virgil Rexford and
Mrs. John Degnan poured and as
sisting about the rooms was Mrs.
Kenneth Colwell.
About 20 Merrill friends of the
