INGATHERING FOR MISSIONS
In the name of practical Christianity, the physically impoverished,
the mentally distressed, and the spiritually desperate of this war
ravished world call on us in favored America for help. Innocent
victims of war and famine look to us for proof of our belief in th
brotherhood of man. They look to us for tangible evidence of tha
gospel of "love thy neighbor as thyself."
The world-wide chain of hospitals, clinics, mission stations, schools
and welfare centers carried on by Seventh -day Adventists answers
this challenging appeal with healing for the sick, clothing for th
naked, food for the hungry, and a gospel of peace for all.
This year, in addition to the repair of war-damaged properties.
Seventh day Adventists will spend more than $15,000,000 on purely
humanitarian, uplift and welfare work. This is more than $18 a
minute night and day, the year 'round.
Their medical and welfare centers create a chain of mercy around
the world. It knows no bounds of race, creed or nationality. Year
in, year out, it reaches into the wilds of Africa, into the jungles of
South America, through tropic heat and arctic cold wherever ther
is need! -
