dealinm on the board of trade today. The market fluctuated nervously
moat of the day, but toward the close demand Increased and prices

B. Nelson, 75, retired as president of
the Long-Bell Lumber company to
day along with four other senior
executives to turn over the reins of
the vast lumber operation to young
men.
Nelson was succeeded bv J. M
White, who became general manager
of Long-Bell's Weed. Calif, plant in

Cause Of
Death Found
Thomas Jefferson Hathaway.
Klamath Falls barber, died of acute
alcoholism, it was determined Tues
day night by an autopsy of the body.
The district attorney's office had
ordered the autopsy because Hatha
way s body held a number of bruises
as though he might have been se
verely beaten before death. The
man was found dead at his home,
1920 Worden, Tuesday morning.
Hathaway operated Tommy's
barber shop, 804 Klamath, but had
not been at work for several weeks.
He Is presumed to have died Mon
day night.
