Miss Patterson Is a graduate of

trip which took them by motor up,
the Oregon coast. They are now at
home at 330 N. 2nd street.

week for her home by way of Los
Angeles after a visit here with Dr.
and Mrs. George I. Wright. Mrs.
Hartough is the aunt of Mf. and
Mrs. Robert H. Thayer, t Henrietta
Wright), and this Is her first visit

Springtime's Entry
When the little ones come home, mud lo their ankle but yellow
bells pressed In their damp little paw, spring has arrived I The little
flower are now popping through the mow and make charming little ,
arrangements. Try them In salt dishes, tiny saucers or even In after
dinner coffee cups.
Folks who spent the Easter holiday over on the coast were thrilled
at the fields ot daffodils of all sorts, Dutch Iris, a sprinkling of call
lilies still In bloom, camellias, freenlas, primroses. Scotch broom, wild
myrtle and miliums. We practically fell out of the car as we saw a
woman emerge from the woods along Smith river, a huge bouquet of
Miliums plural?i In her handn. And then through Ihe valley which
In green and much nprlng plowing going on up the Qreensprlnga
and snow and back to our own blessed country.
With the young fry getting a couple of days away from their school
books, families took off over Easter.
Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Igl and sons Ted and Oerry, drove north to
Portland and while there enjoyed the Beta sing at Woodman hall.
Betas from colleges and universities all over Oregon. Washington and
Montana took part. Ted was home from Oregon State college where ha
Is a member of Beta Theta PI.
The LAssett family had a nice holiday also, going to Portland for
over Easter Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lassett, Beverly and Tommy
returned early Monday morning.
Southbound were Mr. and Mrs. John W. Van Dorcn and two daugh
ters. Carol and Virginia, of Melrose street. The family drove to Ber
keley for over Easter, accompanied by Mrs. Van Doren's mother, Mrs.
J. H. Van Tassel who was here for a fortnight's visit earlier In March.
While In Berkeley they were guests of Mrs. Van Doren's slater and
family. Mrs. C. P. Crooks.
Mr. and Mrs. John Houston and young son Jon took advantage of
the school holiday and spent Easter in San Francisco.
Home for Easter was Merlon Albrecht, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Emll Albrecht. Merlon stayed until the last plane took her south to
San Francisco. She has been with Otis McAllister, export and Import
firm in- San Francisco since her graduation from Stanford.
Mrs. Alvln E. Macartney and daughter Carol returned home last
week-end after spending several weeks In Pasadena with Bud's parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Moore. The Moore will remain south until
later this spring.
Jane Tagg author of "We Solemnly Swore" and who has been
employed in the office of the state employment service, is packing up
for the Pacific. She will sail from San Francisco early In April to Join
her husoand who is with a construction firm on Okinawa.
Mrs. David R. Vandenberg. Susan. Cecile and David, returned this
week-end from Portland where they drove north last Tuesday with
Mary Vandenberg and Patricia O'Leary. The two girls resumed studies
at Marylhurst after visiting here over Easter. Judy and John stayed
home and kept house for the Judge.
Mr. and Mrs. Franklin L. Weaver returned the latter part of tha
week from Portland where they saw quite a few former Klamath folks.
Friends of Mrs. C. B. Harding will be interested to learn that her son.
Major John Harding, is recovering from injuries received In the crash
of his plane a short time ago. but he remains at Barnes General hos
pital in Vancouver. Margaret Horton Harding is now with her husband
and their little daughter Jonnle Is with her maternal grandparents, the
Rae Hortons in Eureka, California.
Wedding dates: Margie Palmerton and Dick Newman will t mar
ried on a Sunday. June 13. come summertime. It is the 24th wedding
anniversary of Margie s parents, the Loren Palmertons. Dick had Easter
vacation from studies at Oregon State and spent several days here,
visited his mother, Mrs. Marguerite Newman In Payette, Idaho, and
was also In Seattle for a brief time.
Jean Hauger is coming home April 11 to make final plans for her
wedding which will be an event of April 18 at the home of her parents,
the Herb Haugers. The groom-to-be is Stanley Van Norman Jones of
San Francisco. Jean has been in San Francisco for the past, several
years.
