guard authorities .-exprevsed belief
today that faint fiOS signals, picked
tip by several Northwest radio sta
tions yesterday, came from small
emergency radio acquired from sur
plus war stocks.

guard stations In Seattle ami West
port, Wash., the coast guard cutter

was opening her grocery store when
a young man stepped from behind
piles of groceries In the store,
giabbed a pagwr sack full of money
and started out a back door.

thumped to the floor and there was
