plea for faster rail service between
Seattle and Portland was presented
today by the mayors of Seattle. Ta
coma and Portland to the three
line operating In Western Washing
ton. The petition cited the "crying
need" for a fast morning train from
Seattle to Portland with comparable
return service In the evening to per
mit businessmen to make one-day
trips between the two cities.
