Upset Tractor

Twelve-year-old Clifford Charles
Davis w as crushed beneath an over
turned tractor on the family farm
Sunday and authorities said today
the boy died almost Instantly.
Arnold Jalo, 10, riding with his
companion on the tractor, said the
machine struck a bump on a road
and went out of control. The tractor
plunged down a 20-foot brush
covered embankment. The young
ster's body was found by his father,
Charles Davis, under a wheel.

The 17 final decrees were, as us
ual, divided unequally 14 going to
wives and only three to husbands.
During the month 20 petitions for
d'vorce were filed with the circuit
clerk, 17 by wives and three by hus
bands. In 19 of the 20 Instances,
cruel and inhuman treatment wa
the allegation. The other was a
suit for annulment on grounds that
a prior divorce for one was not flnnl
when the current marriage was performed.
