Wheat Unsteady On Market
CHICAGO, Jan. 27 (P Heavy liquidation, especially In the corn
and oats pit, carried prices downward at the board of trade today.
The nearby delivery of corn was within . of a cent of the dally per
missible drop of 8 cents when a rally developed.
The weakness In coarse Riains had an effect on wheat, but the de
cline was more stubborn. Soybeans were off the limit.
Belling In the corn pit developed after good advances had been
registered. Houses with cash connections started the selling In fairly
liberal quantities, and stop loss orders were uncovered.
Toward the close a rally developed.
Wheat was mixed at the close, finished l' cents lower to l'i higher
than the previous close, May $2.87'-. corn recovered some of its loss
nnd finished 1 to 3 lower. May $2.55'-'i. Oats were unchanged to
1 cent lower, May 1.22'i-$1.23. Soybeans were 7 cents lower alter a

'Dimes' Fund
Grows Here
Contributions were coming In
quite well today as the March of
Dimes drive In Klamath county
draws to a dose. Climax of the
drive and greatest source of con
tributions Is the March of Dimes
dance, to be held at the armory
this Saturday night.
Tickets are being received by
county residents and Mrs. Paul
Buck, drive chairman, urged
recipients of the tickets to donate
whatever they can, regardless of the
price marked on the tickets.
Dance tickets are $1.60 plus 20
per cent federal tax, but the only
tickets that will be taxed are those
to be sold at the armory Saturday.
Mrs. Buck added, "I hope people
understand if they should get more
than one envelope of tickets. In
a mailing list as large as this one
there are bound to be some duplica
tions." For Information regarding the
dance or any phase of the drive,
call 7224.
