In February, IU47, u 47-year-old
merchant, who had lived In Mexico
for six years, began a bus trip from
Mexico to New Yoik City. This man
was apparently well when he left
Mexico City, but by evening he had
11 headache and pain In the back
of his neck.
Two duys later, while still travel
ing by bus, he developed a rash, but
continued his Journey and reached
11 hotel In New York six days alter
leaving Mexico City. After bring In
New York four more days, he en
tered the hospital and, on March 10,
he died.
The disease which caused death

27-year-old man and to the latter's

has been expanded to Include 248
basic chassis models ranging from
