at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, December 28. Rev. S. M. Topness read

The bride la the daughter of Mrs. Mar'e Staub and E. II. DuBois.
of Klamath Falls, and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey
Braaten.

Her gown was of white slipper
satin, fashioned with a sheer yoke
and a seed pearl trim, and ending
In a long train. A high crown ot
need pearls held her short veil in
place. Her only Jewelry was a pair
of pearl earrings, a gift ot her
mother. Her bouquet was of white
gardenias and roses, arranged on a
white testament, which was bor
rowed from Aria Collins.
Maid of honor was Troy Hilton,
and bridesmaids were Hazel Quigley
and Mercedes Collins. All wore
gowns of brocaded satin witn
matching mitts. The maid of honor
carried white carnations, and the
bridesmaids red carnations, and all
wore red carnation bandeaux in
their hair.
The flower girls were Margie
Welman and Vickie Mattox. They
woro frocks of white net and car
ried baskets of red rose petals.
Donald Isensee was ring bearer.
The bridal couple exchanged vow
before an altar flanked with copper
baskets of red and while blossoms.
The bride's mother chose a light
Rrcen suit with brown accessories
for the wedding, and Mrs. Braaten,
mother of the bridegroom, wore a
pink afternoon dress with brown
accessories. Each wore a corsage ot
white carnations.
Best man was Frank Hall, and O.
E. Thompson, Ralph Ovgard. LeRoy
Overen and Eddie Hall were ushers.
Some 200 guests attended the re
ception in the church paries fol
lowing the wedding.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Braaten
chose Sacramento. Calif., for their
wedding trip and returned to Klam
ath Falls where they are at home
at 532 N. 8th.
The Thimble chro of Neighbors
of Woodcraft met for an afternoon
of sewing on Tuesday, January 13.

of Perry King Watson, son of Ex
tallee Watson, also of Klamath
Falls. The rites were read by the
Rev. Victor Phillips at the First
Methodist church.
The bride chose a white satin
gown with a fingertip veil and a
bouquet of talisman roses. Her only
Jewelrv was a locket belonging to
the bridegroom's mother. The penny
in her slipper 's given by Mrs.
Mike Catalano.
Matron of honor was the bride's

A reception was held In the blue
room of the WlUard hotel. The
couple have returned from a brief
wedding trip north and are at home

Plans are for a June wedding.
Prosperity Rcbckah lodge social
club met in the lOOF hall Wednes
day for a politick luncheon and
business meeting. Eighteen members
and guests were present. Thirty
dollars were turned over to the fund
toward a new carpet for the lodge
hall. The following officers were
elected for the coming term: Pat
McManus. president: Agues Vasak.
vice president; Arloa Andrus. secretary-treasurer.
On January 28 the club will meet
for dessert and the hostesses will
be Bernice McCracken and Grace
Qerue.
Club Luncheon
Jessie Steele was hostess to mem
bers of the Three R club of the
Royal Neighbors of America at a
luncheon meeting held this week.
Pinochle was played after lunch
eon and the business discussion.
High went to Mildred Markie. sec
ond to Kate Hogue, and the special
prize to Oretta Schweiger.
Fifteen members were present,
and two visitors, Mildred Pcnnoyer
and Helen Simmons, later Joined the
club.

Heart choir sang "Ave Maria" and
"Pauls Angcllcus."
The bride, given In marriage by
her father, chose a gown of while
slipper satin, fashioned with long,
fitted sleeves. Her long veil was
held In place with a crown of seed
pearls and hue.
The bride carried a white prayer
book, gift of her sister, Mrs. Thom
as Knight, marked with a single
orchid and sal in ribbon streamers.
For Jewelry she wore her mother's
diamond earrings.
Annie iSupaii, sister ot the bildo
was maid of honor, and wore a light
blue net formal. Her arm boiuiuet
was of pink carnations, matching
the crown of flowers in tier hair.
Pete Ziipau, brother of the bride,
was best man. and Mike J. Zupiui
Jr., and Joe llruner were ushers.
A reception was held at the home
of the bride's parents following the
ceremony. The couple cut the first
slice of their pretty wedding rake.
After a brief wedding trip, the
new Mr. and Mrs. Burner will make
their home In Seattle, Wash., where
he will attend school for severa
months, l-alcr they will leave tor
Alaska to reside.
The bridegroom's mother was un
able to attend the wedding.
A new infill - weight piano has
been built. The miniature "K" piano
lias 84 keys and weighs only HO
pounds. In Its traveling case, the
Instrument ran be carried on train
and checked with luggage.
