collection of early spring prints were
a welcome sight to Martha this
week, banishing some of the post
holiday lethargy . . . but, par
ticularly, I want you to know about
the outstanding David Roth originals
. . . fashioned of exquisite fabrics
. . . and their styling is quite unusual
. , . extreme, yes, but tastefully so.
A black background print shows
a marked contrast between waist
land skirt ... the former hewing
to the simple shirtwaist style with
glitter buttons down the front . . .
while the extreme fullness of the
almost circular skirt is concealed by
subtle draping. A buckle belt of
black velvet adds another dressy
touch.
Prom the same designer comes a
pink and black slash print that's
very appealing, too . . . but, like
so many frocks these days, you have
to actually put it on to fully ap
preciate It. A glossy patent belt
and Jef buttons, outlining a diagonal
opening down the back, provide the
only trim.
An assortment of moderately
priced print numbers have navy,
brown or black grounds overlaid
by bright florals . . . fashioned with
a variety of peplum effects or side
draping . . . but there's a black and
gold combination with a full, many
gored skirt ... a white and black
silk Jersey set off by a wide corselet
belt of patent leather . . . and some
two-plecers of quaintly - patterned
prints have a wide belt lor a fitted

New millinery creations provide

Women who have tried estrogenic
