trip, starting at Oregon avenue;
and Upham, and ending at Main
street and Conger avenue.
Points of Interest on the rout
Include the Fremont bridge, Moore
park Itself, the vantage point west
of the river, and Riverside school,
one of the old landmarks of Kla
math Falls.
The real attraction of the trip Is
that view.
From the-hfll above the river,
one can look down on the mouth
of the stream Itself, and on out
over Ijtke Ewuuna. pusl the sub
urbs and the nearby farms, to the
distant mountains.

solidated today at Tongue Point,
following abandonment of the Port
of Astoria.
The port had been used In the
war for aircraft carriers and attack
transports. Port commissioners said
they would negotiate with the navy
on six month's rent, which Uicy
said the navy owed.
