Murder Of Wife
WILMINGTON, Del., July ,18 MP)
A 26-year-old tenant farmer was
held without ball for grand jury
action on charge of murdering
hi 33-year-old wife early today.
Major Herbert Barnes of the Del
aware state police said the farmer,
Berlin Thomas Cain, of Clark'
Comer, hear Delaware City, admit
ted th brutal slaying of his wife.
Her bruised and battered body was
found In a ditch beside a highway
14 miles south of here.
Cain first told police he found
his wife's body while walking home
from a Delaware City taproom.
However, Major Barnes said Cain
later signed a statement admitting
th slaying.
