Moore Park
Use Gains
More Klamath people and many
out-of-town folk are taking advan
tage of Moore park this summer
than In some years. Average num
ber of visitors on a week-end la
1000, according to Bert Btott, park
caretaker. Last Sunday, cars repre
senting seven stales other than
Oregon, were among the hundreds
visiting the recreation apot. '
Btott said that 'there were be
tween 300 and 400 visitors from
California. Week days are Jammed
with organizations and private par
ties using the picnic grounds. Three
organization parties were on the
calendar 'today with the American
Legion feed slated for tonight.
The recent r)D-T spraying done
along the shores of Upper Klamath
lake haa done wonders to rid the
park of mosquitoes, Stott said, and
la still very effective. He believes
that the sprny should remain ef
fective fur about 30 days.
