MAUN Tluit September will be the vacation month. Instead of
August, for the Mailt) American Legion Auxiliary wns decided at the
group's Monday evening meeting. July 7. The group met at the Mnlin
church with a new corps of officers filling the chairs.
A committee to audit the secretary's books for the fiscal year was
appointed with Helen Loosley, Nell Irwin and Haul Knllna chosen.
Abble Herrlngahaw, unit secretary, presented a history of the unit
since Its founding In 1B38.
The membership voted to Invite the Mnlin Legion to Join In the
refreshment and social hour after each meeting. A committee of three

On June 29 the Bonanza Can-Can
club met at the home of Janey
Dixon. Adele Brown was appointed
to help with the float the Stock
club planned for the parade.
A picnic for all the Bonanza and
Langell valley clubs was discussed.
Interesting talks were given about
summer school by Adele Brown,

on canning apricot and preparing

dividends by Portland F.lectric com
pany if a reorfrantjitloii plan is ap
proved was Indicated today in the
minutes of the Inst POE directors'
meeting.
The POE board proposed a divi
dend of S3 per share on the 998.788
share which would be Issued under
the reorganization plans .of trustees
of Portland Electric Power company.
The reorganization plan Is to be
voted on by July 22.
The dividend would be based on
earnings from November 1, 1945, to
June 30. 1947, at the rate 01 $1.80
annually.
