Veteran who have been totally
disabled for six consecutive month
or more, at any time since August 1,
1041. are eligible to apply for waiver
on their National Service Life Insur
ance until Augut 1, 1047, the veter
an administration has announced.
After August 1, 1047, no premium
will be waived which become due
more than one year prior to receipt
by the VA of an application for
waiver, the VA explained.
A special feature of all N8LI pol
icies, the waiver may be granted
upon application by the inured
alter he haa been totally disabled
for six consecutive months.
To prevent lapse of the policy, Uie
VA cautioned that payment should
be continued until the veteran i
notified by the VA of approval of
the waiver.
The VA reminded all veterans
who have allowed their NBLI term
policies to lapse that they have
only until January 1 to reinstate
without a physical examination.
