largest wartime industries, is
manned today by 33 watchmen and
guards.
Closure of the war-born yard was
announced yesterday by John O.
Haynes, general manager of the
parent company. Todd Drydocks.
Inc. He said he did not know if
the shutdown would be permanent.
Todd Drydocks also has cut its
personnel from 2000 to 1700 and the
Lake Union drydocks has released
of 340 personnel, officials (aid.
Completion of conversion work was
given as the reason.
