Our Footloose Artist Voyages Up the Columbia with Chevron Supreme
This panorama along tha Oregon Coast is
another of tha Seen to Views you can get
wherever you stop for Chevron Supreme
ALOOF AND LONELY, THE LIGHT ON HECETA HEAD broods over tho restless
Pacific. I wandered along twisting Highway 101 with the forests on one
hand, and the ocean no smarling at the heels of storm-carved,
rocks, now purling over golden bc&es on the other. This is
an unforgettable trip for you arwl Chervon Supreme Gasoline.
At Celilo Falls, Indians netting salmon from
spindly platforms over the Columbia made a scene
no artist could resist. The climate changes a3
you leave the Coast, but since Chevron
Supreme Gasoline is "climate-tailored" for
each different altitude and temperature zone, the
change didn't bother my car's power or pick-up.
v -jr-Tuaa-.-'i'iiJLI"-- .
Forty-five miles from The Dalles,
Bonneville Dam harnesses the muscles of
the Columbia. Here I saw the largest
single-lift ship lock ever built, and
watched salmon climb fish ladders.
Solitary Mt. Hood's two-mile-high
snow-cap is the trademark-of Northern
Oregon. Bucked rugged passes in
the Casoades, but none of them made my.
car ping thanks to high-octane
Chevron Supreme premium, gasoline.
Had some radiator trouble, until
I stopped for Chevron Supreme and they
fixed a leaky hose. On to Colorado.

Its good going on
