Roses And Brides
Herald Summer .
Roses are In full bloom, youngsters are out of school, strains from
Lohengrin fill the nlr, and June Is here again. With June, and the first
day of summer Just a little way off, brides and grooms leave for honey
moons, vncntloners head for the great outdoors, and the old social
whirl Is reduced to only. the mildest of flutters.
As long ns there nre brides, though, we won't feel too badly, nnd

We noticed In n folder left on our desk by the postman litis morn
ing that "experienced travelers give this advice . . pack your heavier
clothing first, placing the crushablc things on top." We thought even
the most Inexperienced travelers could figure that one out! Nevertheless,
It did ofter one suggestion as nn .answer to an annoying travel prob
lem . . "seal your liquid cosmetics and perfumes with adhesive tape,
overlapping the edge of tho cap line where It meets the bottle or Jar
neck, then, when you remove the tape, wrap It around' the bottle to
preserve the stickiness and It will be 'good for the round trip." Now
If they'd just figure out some way to keep our lipstick and other creams
from melting In the summer sun we'd be all set I -
