daughter, Klcanore, to Dr. Charlea
E. Wilton Jr., of Bowling Green,
Kentucky.
The nuptlal.i will be an event of
Augunt In Klamath Falls. Mliu
Kandra, member of a prominent
Tuleiake family, rjcently returned
- from Columbia, Mo., where she was
graduated this spring from Ste
phens college. She was active In
school affairs and particularly In
terested In aviation, holding numer
ous campus offices. She Is affil
iated with Phi Phi Phi sorority
and was senior sister of aviation
hall.
Dr. Wilson attended Western
Kentucky college and the Univer
sity of Louisville, graduating from
the Univemlty of Kansas City
school of dentistry. Kansas City
Western Dental college. He Is listed
In the 1946-47 "Who's Who" In
American colleges and universities.
The young couple met in Kansas
City. In September Dr. Wilson will
begin his practice in Lexington,
Ky . where they will make their
home.

who became the brldo of William Canton, son of Mr. and Mrs. William
C. Canton, all of Klamath Falls, In a ceremony tend at 2 o'clock, Satur
day afternoon, June 7.
- The Rev. Father Timothy P. Casey read the double ring ceremony
at Sacred Heart Catholic church. Tall white tapers lighted the church
and the altar was banked with bouquets of white Snow Queen daisies.

Summer Has Come
Despite Calendar
Whether the calendar agrees or not. summer Is here for Klamath
folk. This week brought a rush ot people coming and going on camp
ing trips, vacations, and Just out of town. Good weather or bad,
people have apparently Just decided It's time to go.
Maryellen Wright, daughter of Mr. and Mm. Leslie Wright, and
Nancy Uennet, daughter of Mr. and Mm. Warren Bennet, arrived home
from their respective schools this week and both will be on the staff
of The Herald and News this summer. Maryellen has Just completed
her Junior year at the University ot Oregon, and Nancy Is studying
at Mills college In Oakland. ,' .
Planning to spend lite summer months working as. Crater Lake
lodge are several member of the younger set Including Dorothy Col
lier, Joanne Bennet; Jim Ivory, Dick Yates, and Nancy Humble. Mary
Ann Mills, daughter of Mr. and Mm. Frank Mills, will spend the
summer studying at Stanford university. ,
East-bound are Ruth Landry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul O.
Landry, and Jean Hilton, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. James M. Hilton,
who left l&st, Saturday evening for an extended summer trip. First
stop will bt Los Angeles to be followed by New Orleans. Chicago and
Minneapolis, as well as other points of Interest along the way. Mrs.
Hllto:; and son, Dick, are also traveling, and will Join the girls for
the return trip. " ,
Visiting here are Mrs. Pete; . Cartwright and sons Danny and
Philip from Portland, guests at the Lloyd Prock home on Lakeshors
drive. This Is Philip's first trip to Klamath Fills being a December
arrival but Danny has visited frequently. The threesome arrived by
plane Thursday morning. '

Added to the list of first plane trippers, Sara Stewart, daughter
of the Neal Stewarts, who left Wednesday morning for Portland where
she will visit her great-uncle and aunt, the John Berrys, during Rose
Festival time. Sara will accompany her aunt, Mrs. Allan A. Bynon,
from Portland to Salem to meet her parents and brother Angus, for
a Father's Day reunion at the Frederick Bynon Sr., summer place at
Brush College In the Polk county hills. They will return home lata
this coming week.

anaugh. The wedding party left the church
to the strains of Mendelssohn's wed
ding march.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Canton re
ceived with their parents In the re
ception rooms 'of the Klamath
Lutheran church, where the young
people cut the first piece of theii
decorated wedding cake. Bernodina
Hannon served the confection.
Pouring 'coffee was Mrs. Rosa
Stampley, and at the punch bowl
was Mrs. Layton Stephens. Ida De
Witt was in charge of the bride's
book.
Soon after, Mr. and Mrs. Canton
left for a stay of two weeks at Lake
Louise in Canada. Upon their re
turn they will make their home In
this city.
