here, who were vlalled laat week by Dr. and Mrs. Oeorge I. Wright of
thla city, Dr. Coggeahall expreaaed a great deal of pleasure over the
Oregon Vocational achool which will toon be In operation at the Bar
racks plant. He and Mr. Coggeahall sent greetings to their many friend

Sunday Afternoon
An event of Sunday. June 1. was the wedding of Veldene Ruth
Durant, of this city, and Robert Hull Trclcaao, alao of Klamath Palls.
Rites were solcmnlied at 2 o'clock In a ceremony read by the Rev. David
Barnett Jr.. in tlie First Presbyterian church.
The altar was banked with pink and white snapdragons, palms
snd upers In candelabra. Preceding the ceremony Mel Erickaon sang
"Ave Maria" and "O. Perfect Love." The traditional wedding marches
were played by Mr. Wendell Smith.
Olven In marriage by her uncle. William E. Beck, the bride was
attired In a slate blue cutaway suit complimented by pink accessories.

A wedding of interest In Klamath Palls Is planned for next Tues
day, June 10, In Portland, when Miss Orace Katherlne Rhoades of this
city, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. II. O. Rhoades of Ml North Cottage
treet, Salem, becomes the bride of Willi Arthur Shelley of Portland,
formerly of thla city.
Mlas Rhoades ha been a member of the Klamath Palls school sys
tem since 1036 with the exception of the years she spent with the
Women's Army Corps IWACl, during the war. Miss Rhoades was a
student at Willamette university and completed her college work at the

week's wedding trip which will take
them to Ijtke Louise and Calgary,

wedding costume and hat and ac
cessories will be navy blue. Members
of both families and a few close
friends have been Invited as wed
ding guests. The couple will be at

Dance 'Program
Slated for Wednesday evening at
( o'clock is a program by students
of Eve Benson's studio of dance,
which will be presented In the audi
torium of Klamath Union high
school. Assisting Mra. Benson will
be Ray Rlbak, instructor of stringed
Instruments. Ernest Armstrong, pi
anist, will accompany. Proceeds from
the show will go to the Teen-Age
club.

Women of the Moose, chapter 467,
held their regular meeting Tuesday,
June 3. Viols Phelps and Mable Dale
were initiated into the lodge. The
program was presented by the mem
bership committee with the chair

Several piano numbers were given
by Nancy and Jerry Lambo.
Balloting and election of officers
highlighted the business session with
the selection of the following officers

Plans for early chartering were
made by the Quota club of Klamath
county at Its first meeting Monday
night at the Wlnema hotel. Alice
Vitus, president of the new club,
was In charge of the meeting.
The local group Is the 185th mem
ber club of Quota International, a
classified service club for women.
The organization was founded in
1019 at Buffalo, N. Y. and now has
a membership of more than 6000
executive women in the United
States, Canada, and Australia.
Other officers of the local group
are Mrs. Helens Webber, first vice
president; Mrs. Clara Sherman, sec
ond vice president; Mrs. Lena Den
nis, secretary; Mrs. Annabelle Newt
on, treasurer; Mrs. Hazel Sloan, Mrs.
Cardula Eel), Malveson Parker and
Mrs. Helen Splker, members of the
board of directors. Meetings will be
held on the second and fourth Mon
days of the month.
Mrs. Anne Mason was named
membership chairman, and Marjorle
Eagle was named head of the pub
licity committee. Co-chairmen of
the program committee are Mrs.
Webber and Mrs. Sherman.
The group held a preliminary
meeting last week when Mrs. Flor
ence Shettel, field representative, of
Washington, D. C, entertained at
dinner and organization was com
pitted at lost night's session.
