let soak 2 hours. Drain; savt milk for
gravy. Sprinktt Hi wasp, talt and
tht pepper over chicken. Brown tlow
ly in i i in. hot shortening. Removo
chicken; keep hot. Drain off all but
2 tableip. fat from pan. Blend in
flour, remaining V teasp. salt and
few grains pepper. Add ?4 cup liquid
off peas; stir and boil 2 min. Add re
maining milk and drained peas. Heat.
