during the twilight hour, starting at
6:30. on Recreation field and Modoc
practice field up at the high school,
Monday ami Wednesday afternoons.

Moose- entry and the Bureau of
Reclamation squad at Itecreatlun
park, and the other between the
Veterans of Foreign Wars and the
Eagles at the high school..
The other teams in the loop, which
will get into action within a week,
are Ashley Chevrolet, Gun Store.

and Knights of Columbus. Official
state softball rules have been adopt
ed, plus strict league rules regard
ing the eligibility of players and the
like, making the teams In the city
league eligible for possible competi
tion in a state softball tournament
later in the year.
' The league is bring managed by
Frank Drew, with Sum Smith, city
recreation director, as secretary, and
the managers of all 10 teams form
a board of directors. This group Is
called to meet at the city recreation
office Thursday at 7:30 p.m. for a
final business session before the
play starts.

his stubborn hold out today against
the critical illness which for nearly
two months has threatened his life.
