The Angels, after trailing for

hits and then keeping the lead to

Henley high took down the 1947 Klamath county B school track and
field championship yesterday afternoon up on Modoo field. It was a
hands-down triumph for the Hornets who scored a total of 80', point te
46',-i for the Malin Mustangs. Merrill totaled 11. Bonanza 9 Mi and Chllo
quln 7.
On a cloudless and virtually windless day only three meet record
tumbled, all to Henley athlete.
Oene Hill broke two records, both on the cinders. He went over the
high hurdles In 15 8, chopping 1.3 seconds off the former racord, then
came back to get over the low
hurdle In 34.3, that was 1.1 seconds
better than previously.
Big Fred Hess bettered the high
Jump mark of 6 foot-9. Hess added
a half-Inch.
The Individual scoring star of the
meet was Henley' Vince Bodner,
who ran up 13 as his personal
record. Bodner won the 330-yard
dash, likewise th 100-yard dasn,
placed fourth In the football throw
and was a member of the winning
relay team.
Doyle Haaklns of Merrill eaeily
outaped the field In the mile, win
ning by half a lap at 4:54. Phil
Anderson wa Malin' top man,
gaining eight personal point.
