Debate With Demand For
Jewish Representation

today with a plea to give the Jews
a voice In the proceedings of the
peclal assembly nf the United
Nations.
Noting that the assembly s 14-na-llon
steering committee had heard
the spokesmen of tlve Arab states
present their views yesterday, In
dian delegate Asaf All asked:
"Where are the representatives or
the Jewish people. who will be af
fected? Where Is Palestine?

Oregon congress of Parent-Teacher
associations was to elect officers
today In the second day session of
the annual meeting here.
Mrs. H. H. Harbreaves. Portland,
was nominated to the presidency in
a speech last night that the state
must be ready "to spend millions of
dollars If you want education for
jrour children."
"If you don't pay your education
bill, what will you do with your
money If your youth fail?" he asked
the session.
Dr. Paul Packer, chancellor of the
Oregon state system of higher edu-
