Herrington
Death Told
Bert Lee Herrington, 81, well
known resident of the Shipping
ton district and for the past 20
years employed a millwright
Willi the Klamuth Lumber and
Box company, died at Klamuth
Valley hospital at 10.43 p. m.
Tuesday, April 1. Mr. Herring
ton was admitted to the hospital
t noon that day. Death was at
tributed to a heart ailment.
Mr. Herrington was born In
Pendleton, Ore., his father a pio
neer of that district. He came to
Kiumuth county 30 year ago
and has been affiliated with
Lnrcnz company and Pelican
Buy Lumber company during
those years, Mrs. Herrington is
a well known member of the
nursing profession in Klamath
county. j
During the punt years, Mr.
Herrington invented several
pieces of muchincry now In use
at Klamuth Lumber and. Box
company plant, and recently
completed an invention, a new
type of gaff hook. He was pri
marily interested in hunting and
fishing and was an ardent sports
man. He leaves many friends to
mourn his passing.
In addition to his wife, Lillie,
Mr. Herrington is survived by
one son, Robert, this city, and
three daughters. Mrs. Charles
(Hue) Ayers of Eugene, and Mrs,
Floyd Jean) Meade, and Patsy

in Oregon.
A former law partner of Sen
ator Cordon tit-Ore.), who heads
the senate investigation. Sever
was a deputy state treasurer
from 5021 to 1B24 and later stale
director of Americanization pro
grams conducted by the Ameri
can Legion.
Ho was chief deputy of the
civil department in Multnomah
county under Ex-District Attor
ney James R. Bain for seven
years. He graduated from the
University of Oregon law school
in 1911.
Herrington, both of Klamath
Falls.
Final rites will be held at 1:30
I. m, Saturday at the Karl Whit
ock chapel with Interment to
follow at Kiumuth Memorial
park.
