cows last year, producing about

cent decline from 1043, the de
partment of agriculture esti
mated today.
The USDA crop reporting ser
vice said Oregon's 11)40 milk
production was the lowest In 12
years, although the output per
cow was belter than average.
Herds were heavily culled to
eliminate poor milkers. 1
