Mr. and Mrs. Scott visited also
at Pismo Beach. The Turn
, baughs plan to return here,
probably in May.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Klatt left
Saturday for Los Angeles where
they will visit with Klatt's rela
tives before returning here
Later in the spring they plan to
seek another location, either in
Alaska or Nevada. Mrs. Klatt.

The Winema Welfare club
will meet March IS at the home
of Mrs. Julius Tschirky. with
Mrs. Myrtle Miller as co-hostess.
Plans for the spring tea and
book review will be taken up.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Wilson
and family returned Monday
from Portland where they spent
a few days. Wilson is California
highway patrolman for this
area.
Police Chief Frank G. Rhodes
spent Monday in Yreka on busi

day by a death in Mrs. Long's
family. Long is police judge.

phony orchestra which for the
first time since before the war is
again playing the music of great
world composers.
Food and clothing in Japan is
very scarce even though the rice
crop was good this year and the
contrast between supplies avail
able for the Japanese and for the
Americans m tne country is
startling to a westerner.
During her residence here Miss
Robley was employed in the
telephone office and the post
office.
