Funds Take Cut
SALEM, Jan. 22 (A) Many
western industries are interest
ed in experiments of the Oregon
forest products laboratory at
Corvallis, Paul M. Dunn, lab
oratory director, told a Joint
ways and means subcommittee
here Tuesdi y.
The laboratory had asked a
$16fl.26S appropriation for the
next two years, but the state
budget division cut it to $100,
000. Asking that the higher amount
be reinstated, Dunn said new fa
cilities are needed to carry on
experiments on a much larger
scale.
