Before Newly-Built 1000-Foot Lift Begins Operation

A ski tow at Crater lake it built and virtually ready for operation, but will not be work
ing for slope enthusiasts this week-end, according to word received from Park Superintend
ent E. P. Loavltt In Modford. .
The tow Is being Installed, tentatively at Knob hill, by Al Vincze on a sub-contract from
the Croter Lake company, but the contract hos not yet been approved by the national park
service and the tow can't be operated until that approval is forthcoming.
The wlntor sports program is ust barely getting under way for the first season since the
war and the skiing season runs from now through February and March and probably April,

A division. Dean S. Francis is
president of the Inter-Church
loop. He said that the board of
directors had ironed out wrin
kles in the league's organization
and that a playing schedule
would be drawn in a few days.
